Prospecting for gold can be a lot of fun, you get to go and get away from the rat race and see some beautiful country. Gold is located in a lot more areas then you might believe, there are locations all across this country of ours.  Hopefully when all is said and done you might give it a try.  To just give it a whirl it is not real expensive, all you need is a shovel, a 5 gallon bucket, and a gold pan. This is a gold pan, a prospectors primary tool.  You will be surprised at how easy it is to do.  Pick one up from any prospecting store in your area and ask them which streams are open to the public in your area.

     If push comes to shove, join one of the many gold prospecting clubs that are out there. Some are limited to just the area you live while others are huge covering this whole country of ours.  Good prospecting and hope to see ya out there some day.
